It seems according to the dictionary... and I looked when I was writing the script for this comic, that irregardless is considered a word but is considered improper English. Which is like saying something is food but is inedible (in my opinion). Hearing it is like fingers on a chalkboard for me and I've heard some very smart people say it lately which rage inducing. :-[]

My ears want to bleed at the very thought of that word. What does that even mean? To not regard what you weren't regarding, so you actually do regard it after all, but in a double-negative sort of way?? Yuck!
